Robin Hull vs Igor Figueiredo preview (World Snooker Championship last round qualifier)

Robin Hull

Hull had an impressive win against better rated Woollastone, which before the start of this year qualifiers was the favorite to be present at the Crucible, but breaks of 125, 65, 84, 77 and 138 helped the Finnman finally winning the encounter by an unexpected margin, 10-6. In 2013 Hull had a difficult opening game at the Crucible, losing to Ronnie O’Sullivan 4-10, I would say it’s the perfect time for him to repeat that performance and why not, to progress further down in the final tournament.
Figueiredo comes in this afternoon after a dramatic match in round 2, as from 8-2 and 9-5 down, Rod Lawler pushed the meeting to a scrappy deciding frame, eventually won by the Brazilian player 58-47. In the first round Igor scored a 10-3 victory over Nigel Bond, but starting with this afternoon a much tougher opponent waits him in the deciding meeting and I can’t see Figueiredo having chances here.
