Besiktas have reportedly reached a deal to sign Chelsea striker Loic Remy.
According to The Times, Remy will join the Turkish giants on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
The move comes days after Blues boss Jose Mourinho reportedly blocked Remy’s exit insisting he was not for sale.
The 28-year old had recently been courted by the Istanbul side, who were in search for a star-striker after selling Demba Ba to Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua in June.
Remy’s immediate future with the blues has become uncertain after the loan acquisition of Colombian striker Radamel Falcao put the former QPR and Newcastle player down in the pecking order for the central striker position.
The Colombia international has joined the Premier League champions on a season-long loan.
The Super Lig side consider Remy as the perfect replacement for former Chelsea man Demba Ba who has recently joined Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua for a fee believed to be in the region of £9million.
Working with a shoe-string of a budget and no home field due to the ongoing construction of a their new stadium, Be?ikta? had a commendable 2014-2015 season, making it to the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League, eliminating Liverpool on the way.
The Istanbul-side finished third in the domestic league after spending a majority of the season in close contention for the title.
Remy scored 9 goals in 29 appearances for Chelsea last season helping them to lift the Premier League. He has also made 31 international appearances for the French national team and his ability to score from anywhere in the box will be ideal for Senol Gunes’s Turkish side.
