Andrew Higginson vs Robert Milkins preview (World Snooker Championship last round qualifier)

Andrew Higginson

Clearly the current odds are influenced by the unbalanced head to head, but for me the odds are wrongly set the bet of the round is on the outsider of this encounter. Having a terrible season so far, Andrew came into WC qualifiers far away from being considered a favorite to make it to Crucible theatre, but things changed, at least in my mind, as soon as he won against Belgian prospect Brecel, 10-3, a match in which Higginson made 9 breaks of over 50 points.

Milkins raised his game a lot, as this season was quit a good one for him with final at the EPT4, semifinal at the International Championship and quarter-finals at Australian Open, EPT6, Indian Open and China Open, so could look that he is the player in form, although I can say he impressed whit his evolution in the first two rounds matches. Furthermore, yesterday I received the confirmation that he is not at the game level he probably thinks, as for 6-0 up in front of an amateur player, he saw the advantage reduced to 6-5, finally winning the encounter 10-6.

H2H: Milkins 7-1

Prediction: Higginson to advance.
